- MORE THIRSTY THAN USUAL? Diabetes causes excessive sugar in your bloodstream,which causes fluid to be taken from the organs and tissues to dilute it. This will probably make you thirsty, so you will drink more than you used to, and also urinate more frequently.
- HUNGRIER THAN USUAL? As you have a lack of insulin, the hormone which is responsible for pushing sugar into your cells, your organs and muscles will be lacking in fuel to do their work, resulting in extreme hunger.

- ARE YOU NOT SEEING AS CLEARLY AS YOU USED TO? With a high concentration of sugar in your blood, fluid may be removed from the lenses of your eyes, resulting in the possibility of not being able to focus properly
- MINOR CUTS AND GRAZES NOT HEALING QUICKLY? Type 2 diabetes affects the immune system, leaving you prone to infections and unable to heal easily
- DARK PATCHS OF SKIN? If you have dark velvety skin patches in the folds and creases of your bodys most commonly the armpits, it could point to insulin resistance
