Obesity Still On The Increase, In Spite Of All The Diets Available--by Laurie Whyman
With the increasing number of Americans and British now classed as clinically obese, even though there are countless diets on offer, and all the TV "Biggest Loser" programs highlighting the obesity epidemic, is there any answer to this 21st century health problem?
Posted: Wednesday 14th December 2011
60% of Americans and almost as many Brits are classed now as clinically obese, and many ,many more are over weight to a greater or lesser degree, which seems to be a problem that is not going away any time soon.
There are over 300 million searches on Google alone for “weight loss” every month, so losing weight is obviously something that millions are looking to achieve, and there are so many different “diets” that offer “solutions” for anyone overweight, isn't it surprising then that obesity is still on the increase?
The obvious conclusion is that dieting is not resulting in a permanent, effective weight loss for the vast majority of people desperate to lose weight.
Anyone who has been on any diet usually gets fed up and drifts back to their old eating habits, and normally this occurs after only a couple of weeks. We can observe this happening to overweight celebrity s, who are suddenly slim after embarking on the latest fad diet, but then are fat again a while later, (and some even have the cheek to put out a diet and fitness DVD endorsing whatever regime they were on!)
It would seem that the only way, apart from surgery, to permanently lose weight is to completely change lifestyles, otherwise all that happens is the Yo-Yo effect of weight loss followed by weight gain.
But there is some light at the end of the tunnel, alternatives to dieting for effective weight loss are available, “The Diet Free System” is probably the easiest way to lose weight, and improve your general health, plus reducing the chances of heart disease, strokes, diabetes, cancer and other ailments caused directly by obesity .
